The story behind the special model - A model bus world premiere
Stadtbus Rheine was founded at November of 1997 and is still regarded as a showcase network in the world of public transport.
Since 2005, the city-routes C1 to C12 have been running in a clockwise direction around the bus central meeting point (Bustreff) located in the center, which is easy for everyone to understand.
Each line has been assigned a fixed color, which makes it easy to recognize line changes at the bus meeting point.
For example, the purple line C4 coming from the east changes its number at the central meeting point "Bustreff" to C12 and continues in the direction of Saline/Naturzoo.
The Stadtbus Rheine not only has a well thought-out network of lines, but also really nice vehicles in a striking corporate design, matching the stops and the timetables.
The system is operated by Rheiner Verkehrsbetrieb Mersch GmbH & Co.KG (rvbm).
